A scream at 22nd Street “Poem”

I heard a scream on 22nd Street at Columbus Few miles from Ybor
A drunken man was screaming and yelling loudly in middle of the road holding a beer in his hands
The man shouts, “I know God has gone away from me” he points his finger to a car passing by
Where ya all going “God has cast us away”
Listen O M**therF**ckers “ I ain’t lying there is no God above us, he has left us alone. I know I can feel it I am not drunk he paused but keep on screaming hey! heyyy, hey you, you crooks! Ya’ll Scoundrels!”
He paused and point his finger in air as he was talking to someone but there was no one
“You are a demon I know, we all are possessed by demons. But I know my Savior he will come back”
He kept talking to himself for a while
Then we heard the sound of gunshots from a distance
Everything becomes utterly silent, like an empty space everything was muted for a second
The drunken man suddenly becomes quite and started walking towards the signal
That sound of gunfire always reminds me of the “Charles Dickens” novel “Great expectations”
I first experience how it feel like listening to the gunshots when I was a kid in that novel
when prisoners escaped and Pip the kid heard the gunshots in cold nights of 18 century London
It feels terrible like some upcoming thrilling sensation of danger and loathing
Like fall of men and like the killing of Abel by Cain and like the whisper of Satan to Eve
